Alabama exported $51 million to Canada, including: 

  • $10M in fresh, chilled or frozen chicken
  • $9.4M in dog or cat food
  • $6.8M in peanuts
  • $6.7M in fertilized chicken eggs
  • $2.3M in live poultry

Alabama imported $225 million from Canada, including:

  • $143M in canola oil
  • $36M in baked goods
  • $8.3M in wheat and meslin
  • $5.5M in fresh or chilled beef
  • $3.3M in beverages

Alabama’s top agriculture and agri-food export markets:

  • China: 33%
  • Egypt: 12%
  • Mexico: 10%
  • Cuba: 7%
  • Taiwan: 5%
