| Community Pasture Program |
The Community Pasture Program was a land-management service provided in the Prairie provinces. It was created in the 1930s to reclaim land that was badly eroded during the Prairie drought. The Program achieved its original goal, having returned more than 145,000 hectares of poor-quality cultivated lands to grass cover, significantly improving the ecological value of these lands and helping to increase the productivity of the area. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has worked with the Governments of Saskatchewan and Manitoba to transition these grazing pastures to users with a more direct interest. The program ended on March 31, 2019. |
| Co-operative Development Initiative | This initiative was delivered in partnership with the co-operative sector to develop co-ops and to research and test innovative ways of using the co-operative model. |

| ecoAgriculture Biofuels Capital Initiative | This initiative provided repayable contributions for the construction or expansion of transportation biofuel (ethanol and biodiesel) production facilities in Canada which included new equity investment by farmers and used agricultural feedstock to produce the biofuels. This program has expired on March 31, 2013. |
| Emergency Food Security Fund | This program helped improve access to food for people experiencing food insecurity in Canada due to the COVID-19 pandemic. |
| Emergency On-Farm Support Fund | The program assisted agricultural producers with some of the incremental costs for activities that improve the health and safety of all farm workers, domestic and temporary foreign workers by limiting the spread of COVID-19 in agricultural operations. |
| Enabling Research for Competitive Agriculture | Aimed to strengthen agricultural policy research capacity in Canada by producing and disseminating research. It ensured that new graduate students were trained and that their professors were knowledgeable in understanding key agricultural policy research ideas. The program helped with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on food supply in Canada by assisting the farming, fish harvesting, and food production and processing sectors. |
| Mandatory Isolation Support for Temporary Foreign Workers Program: 3-Day Hotel Quarantine Stream |
This stream assisted Canadian employers with some of the incremental costs specifically associated with the mandatory quarantine period at a government-authorized facility imposed under the Quarantine Act on temporary foreign workers upon entering Canada, when travel directly via private transportation from their point of entry to employer-provided accommodation for their mandatory 14-day isolation period cannot be provided. The program helped with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on food supply in Canada by assisting the farming, fish harvesting, and food production and processing sectors. |
