Step 3. How to apply

The application intake period for contribution funding is now closed.

Apply for contribution funding

1. Request and read the Contribution Applicant Guide

Applicants, including organizations who received grant funding, must request the Contribution Application Guide to develop their comprehensive project proposal and apply for contribution funding and collaborative research and development support.

Read the Contribution Applicant Guide for detailed information on eligibility criteria, available funding and the application process.

Applications for contribution funding closed on January 27, 2023.

2. Complete and submit your contribution application package

A complete contribution application package consists of:

  • Application form
  • Executive Summary
  • Financial Statements
  • Letters of Support
  • Copy of the applicant organization's Certificate of Incorporation or Articles of Incorporation
  • Performance Measures Indicators
  • Adoption/Knowledge Transfer Plan

Complete, sign, and submit your contribution application package by email to the program at aafc.acs-sac.aac@agr.gc.ca or mail your application package to:

If your submitted application is deemed incomplete, you will be notified and will have 10 business days to provide the missing information before the file is closed. You will be able to re-submit your application before the application process closing date. Please note that it will not be possible to modify contribution funding applications after the closing date (December 16, 2022).

It is expected that approved comprehensive projects will be 5 years in duration.
