Step 4. How to apply

The program has a 2-stage intake process.

Stage 1. Complete and submit the pre-screening application

  1. Access your program information
  2. Choose a secure sign-in method (Sign-In Partner or GCKey)
  3. Sign in (or Sign up)
  4. Start a new application — choose Canadian Agricultural Strategic Priorities Program from the list of programs
  5. Complete the pre-screening application details
  6. Submit your pre-screening application

This stage will begin a discussion about the project between you and program staff.

If you need help to complete and submit the pre-screening application, please contact the AAFC Contact Centre.

If your pre-screening application is deemed to meet the priorities of the program, you may be invited to go to stage 2 of the application process.

Stage 2. Complete and submit the program application

If you're invited to stage 2 of the application process, you'll receive an email to apply for the full application and access the Canadian Agricultural Strategic Priorities Program application online.

  1. Access your program information
  2. Choose a secure sign-in method (Sign-In Partner or GCKey)
  3. Sign in
  4. Choose Canadian Agricultural Strategic Priorities Program from the list of programs
  5. Complete the application online
  6. Download the following form to your computer
    • Required: Detailed Project Budget
  7. Complete and save the Detailed Project Budget form on your computer
  8. Upload the Detailed Project Budget form and the following required documents:
    • Required: Organization's Certificate or Articles of Incorporation
    • Required: Financial Statements
      • Audited, accountant-reviewed, or notice-to-reader financial statements for the past 2 years or since the date of business start-up where the business is less than 2 years old
      • The latest interim (audited or unaudited) financial statements
      • If applicable: The most recent annual report or audited financial statements of the parent company or principal owner
    • Required (if applicable): Letters of Financial Support from all organizations providing a cash contribution to the project as per the Budget
    • Required: Project Endorsement Letters/ Letters of Support
    • Required (if applicable): Capital Asset Pre-approval
  9. Complete all of the application details
  10. Submit your completed application
