Step 4. After you apply
After you submit your application, an acknowledgment notice and your identifier (for example, WSSP-2022-12345678) will be sent to you within fifteen (15) business days, confirming that your application was submitted to the program and deemed complete.
Note: Missing or incorrect information could result in a processing delay or rejection of your application.
You should not consider your application as submitted to the program until you receive the acknowledgement notice and your identifier.
If you have not received your identifier by August 31, 2022, contact the program by email at aafc.wssp-pasv.aac@agr.gc.ca or call 1-877-246-4682. It is your responsibility to confirm your application has been submitted to the program.
Application assessments only begin once the intake period has closed.
Applicants may submit only one (1) application per year to the program.
Individual grant payments will be calculated once the application intake period is closed, and the total litres of eligible wine submitted through those applications, has been determined. For the 2022-2023 fiscal year, program payments are expected to be made later in 2022.
Service standards
Once you submit your application, the program's goal is to achieve our service standards a minimum of 80% of the time, under normal circumstances:
- Respond to general inquiries made to our phone number or email address before the end of the next business day
- Acknowledge receipt of your application within one (1) business day
- For the application intake period of July 4, 2022 to August 12, 2022, assess your application and send approval or a rejection notification letter within 100 business days after the application has been deemed complete (from August 12, 2022 or from the date your application is deemed complete, whichever is later)
