Dogs
Leashed dogs are welcome in the:
- Arboretum
- Fletcher Wildlife Garden
- lanes along the farm fields
Do not take pets into research fields or the Ornamental gardens.
The City of Ottawa enforces its regulations related to dogs on Farm property. You must clean up after your pet.
To report a dog bite or unleashed dog, please call 3-1-1.
Food and drinks
Alcohol is not permitted in accordance with Ontario law.
You cannot serve food or drinks.
Parking
Parking spaces are limited. Paid parking is available near the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum.
- Vehicles are not allowed on the grass.
- Vehicles are not allowed on the lower portion of Arboretum (beside Dows Lake).
Photography
- Group photos are not permitted in the Tropical greenhouse.
- Chairs, food, and decorations are not permitted.
- Stepping in flowerbeds is not permitted.
- Drones are not permitted.

- Open fires
- Picking the flowers from plants, bushes or trees
- Fireworks
- Snow kiting
- Kite flying
- Sliding/tobogganing
- Climbing in trees
- Golfing
