The Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership is a 5-year, $3.5-billion investment by federal, provincial and territorial governments to strengthen and grow the agriculture and agri-food sector, and will take effect April 1, 2023.

A Food Policy for Canada

The first-of-its-kind in Canada, A Food Policy for Canada will set a long-term vision for our health, environmental, social, and economic goals related to food, while identifying actions we can take in the short-term. A food policy will help address issues and pursue opportunities in areas related to the production, processing, distribution, and consumption of food – covering all aspects of the food chain.

Meetings of federal, provincial and territorial ministers of agriculture

Agriculture ministers from across the country meet at least once a year to talk about issues facing the agriculture and agri-food sector and to make decisions on how to address these issues.

The Canadian Agricultural Partnership

The Canadian Agricultural Partnership is a five-year, $3-billion investment by federal, provincial and territorial governments to strengthen the agriculture, agri-food and agri-based products sector, launched in April 2018 and ended in March 2023.
