Bilateral agricultural trade = $846 million in 2022

Utah exported $146 million to Canada, including:

  • $47M in food preparations*
  • $12M in baked goods
  • $11M in sauces and condiments
  • $10M in chocolate
  • $8.5M in essential oils

Utah imported $700 million from Canada, including:

  • $398M in live bovine animals
  • $40M in baked goods
  • $23M in canola oil
  • $21M in prepared or preserved meat
  • $21M in fresh or chilled mushrooms

Utah’s top agriculture and agri-food export markets:

  • China: 28%
  • Canada: 9%
  • Korea: 9%
  • Japan: 7%
  • Mexico: 6%

* the category “food preparations” includes products such as tea substitutes, vegetable preparations, flavoring extracts, powders and essences, milk or cream substitutes, jelly powders, and juices from concentrate.
