Virginia exported $315 million to Canada, including:

  • $34M in fresh, chilled or frozen chicken
  • $33M in beverages
  • $24M in peanuts
  • $23M in prepared or preserved meat

Virginia imported $295 million from Canada, including:

  • $39M in baked goods
  • $37M in fresh, chilled or frozen pork
  • $20M in canola oil
  • $17M in fermented beverages
  • $14M in frozen fries and other prepared potatoes

Virginia’s top agriculture and agri-food export markets:

  • China: 30%
  • Canada: 7%
  • Venezuela: 7%
  • Taiwan: 6%
  • Egypt: 6%

* the category “food preparations” includes products such as tea substitutes, vegetable preparations, flavoring extracts, powders and essences, milk or cream substitutes, jelly powders, and juices from concentrate.
