Hawaii exported $10 million to Canada, including: 

  • $3.5M in fresh papayas
  • $2.6M in live bees
  • $1.6M in coffee
  • $1.1M in perfume plants
  • $846K in vegetables and roots

Hawaii imported $7.4 million from Canada, including:

  • $3.6M in wheat flour
  • $1.4M in food preparations*
  • $1.2M in malt
  • $290K in coffee
  • $213K in spirits, liqueurs and cordials

Hawaii’s top agriculture and agri-food export markets:

  • Japan: 46%
  • China: 21%
  • Canada: 12%
  • Korea: 6%
  • Hong kong: 3%

* the category “food preparations” includes products such as tea substitutes, vegetable preparations, flavoring extracts, powders and essences, milk or cream substitutes, jelly powders, and juices from concentrate.
