Bilateral agricultural trade = $742 million in 2023
Idaho exported $381 million to Canada, including:
- $87M in live bovine animals
- $33M in butter
- $30M in baked goods
- $29M in food preparation
- $23M in prepared or preserved potatoes
Idaho imported $361 million from Canada, including:
- $96M in oil-cakes
- $32M in margarine
- $31M in fresh or chilled beef
- $28M in canola oil
- $27M in frozen fries and other prepared potatoes
Idaho’s top agriculture and agri-food export markets:
- Canada: 32%
- Mexico: 21%
- China: 9%
- Japan: 6%
- Korea: 4%
