Iowa exported $1.5 billion to Canada, including:

  • $471M in grain alcohol
  • $148M in oil-cakes
  • $134M in fresh, chilled or frozen pork
  • $83M in prepared or preserved meat
  • $71M in dog or cat food

Iowa imported $1.0 billion from Canada, including:

  • $431M in canola oil
  • $118M in oats
  • $10Mm in live pigs
  • $43M in cereal grains
  • $41 in baked goods

Iowa’s top agriculture and agri-food export markets:

  • Mexico: 37%
  • Canada: 25%
  • Japan: 12%
  • China: 8%
  • Korea: 3%
