Bilateral agricultural trade = $357 million in 2023
Maine exported $89 million to Canada, including:
- $26M in frozen fruit and nuts
- $12M in frozen fries and other prepared potatoes
- $7.8M in live animals
- $7.7M in other fresh fruits
- $6.3M in maple syrup and sugar
Maine imported $268 million from Canada, including:
- $69M in preparations in animal food
- $32M in baked goods
- $28M live plants
- $21M in margarine
- $20M in frozen fruit and nuts
Maine’s top agriculture and agri-food export markets:
- Canada: 47%
- Mexico: 15%
- China: 4.3%
- Germany: 4.1
- Netherlands: 3%
