Michigan exported $1.1 billion to Canada, including:

  • $219M in oil-cakes
  • $64M in baked goods
  • $61M in food preparations for infant use
  • $60M in prepared cereals
  • $57M in soya beans

Michigan imported $1.5 billion from Canada, including:

  • $126M in baked goods
  • $95M in frozen fries and other prepared potatoes
  • $94M in fresh or chilled peppers
  • $91M in oil-cakes
  • $86M in fresh or chilled cucumbers

Michigan’s top agriculture and agri-food export markets:

  • Canada: 44%
  • Mexico: 18%
  • Korea: 7%
  • Japan: 4.7%
  • China: 4.6%
