New mexico exported $25 million to Canada, including:

  • $10M in fresh or chilled onions
  • $5.7M in prepared cereals
  • $3.2M in peanuts
  • $1.8M in pepper spices
  • $1.0M in lettuce and cabbage

New mexico imported $45 million from Canada, including:

  • $21M in oil-cakes
  • $12M in baked goods
  • $2.3M in fresh or chilled beef
  • $1.7M in tallow
  • $1.3M in whiskey

New mexico’s top agriculture and agri-food export markets:

  • Mexico: 57%
  • Canada: 9%
  • Egypt: 7%
  • China: 6%
  • Philippines: 3%
