My name is Selome Wondemu. I’m a Trade Commissioner based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
I work for the Canadian Embassy.

Business people are looking for machineries to crush the seeds and, you know, refine it to oils.

Canadians, they offer also medium and small-scale machineries. And now, Ethiopians are, you know, shifting their, attention and are ready to work with Canadian companies because of Canadian products’ quality, durability, Canadian people who are very much interested to explore the Ethiopian market.

So there is a high demand for healthy food. Because, urbanization is, fastly growing and people are more conscious about their health and there’s also a cost issue and the fasting practices.

So people tend to prefer plant-based healthy products, which Canada is very known for it.
