South Dakota exported $666 million to Canada, including:
- $350M in grain alcohol
- $117M in oil-cakes
- $35M in dog or cat food
- $26M in soya-bean oil
- $24M in corn
South Dakota imported $102 million from Canada, including:
- $33M in live pigs
- $15M in live bovine animals
- $11M in dried legumes
- $9M in fertilized birds’ eggs
- $7M in oats
South Dakota’s top agriculture and agri-food export markets:
- Canada: 47%
- Mexico: 30%
- Japan: 6%
- China: 5%
- Korea: 3%
