Washington exported $1.1 billion to Canada, including:
- $187M in fresh apples and pears
- $167M in vegetables and roots
- $84M in fresh cherries
- $46M in tallow
- $38M in food preparations*
Washington imported $2.0 billion from Canada, including:
- $385M in tallow
- $282M in canola oil
- $264M in live bovine animals
- $124M in baked goods
- $94M in prepared or preserved meat
Washington’s top agriculture and agri-food export markets:
- China: 50%
- Japan: 13%
- Philippines: 8%
- Korea: 6%
- Canada: 5%
* the category “food preparations” includes products such as tea substitutes, vegetable preparations, flavoring extracts, powders and essences, milk or cream substitutes, jelly powders, and juices from concentrate.
