The Canadian plant germplasm consists of three locations which specialize in different groups of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture.
Seed germplasm: Plant Gene Resources Canada
The Plant Genene Resources of Canada, in Saskatoon, is responsible for all seed germplasm, such as cereals, pulses, oilseeds, tomato, forages and covers many species. It also helps coordinate the nation-wide plant germplasm program.

The Canadian Potato Gene Resources, in Fredericton, are responsible for potatoes and maintain about 190 potato clones.

Fruit germplasm: Canadian Clonal Genebank
The Canadian Clonal Genebank, in Harrow, is responsible for conserving, characterizing, and distributing tree and small fruit, for example apple and strawberry.
