description: Difference from normal temperature values are computed by subtracting the normal average temperature from the average temperature for the corresponding period (monthly or weekly). The average monthly or weekly temperature is computed by obtaining the mean value of average daily temperatures for that month or week. If the period was colder than normal the value computed will be negative, and if it was warmer the value will be positive. These values are intended to provide users with a general idea of temperature variation compared to average conditions and can provide a measure of daytime temperature highs at weekly and monthly scales.
