Lender process

Please refer to the Lender guidelines for requirements to administer Canadian Agricultural Loans Act (CALA) Program loans.

Register program loans online

Use the CALA Program Online Loan Registration System to register loans and submit the associated registration fee.

New online users

If you are a new user of the CALA Program Online Loan Registration Application, contact the User Administrator within your financial institution.

If you’re not aware of who your User Administrator is, please email us at aafc.CALA-LCPA.aac@agr.gc.ca

Existing online users

  1. Go to the Online Loan Registration System
  2. Choose your secure login provider (GCKey or Sign-In Partner)
  3. Sign in (or Sign up)
  4. Complete the 2-Step Verification
  5. Enter the system and follow the instructions to access the CALA Online Loan Registration Application

  • Use Adobe Reader (Version 11 or higher) to open the file. If it's not already installed, download Adobe Reader 11 or higher for free. Adobe has help for solving common issues

If you can't open the form with Adobe Reader 11 or higher, contact the program.

How to download and open a PDF form

Download the file

  1. Right-click on the link you want to save
  2. Select "Save link as" or "Download linked file"
  3. Choose the location on your computer where you would like to save the file
  4. Select "Save"

Open the PDF form

  1. Open Adobe Reader 11 or higher
  2. Select "File"
  3. Select "Open"
  4. Go to the location where you saved the file
  5. Select the PDF file
  6. Select "Open"
