Spain is the sixth largest importer of agri-food and seafood products in the world. Spain recorded imports of Can$54.8 billion in 2020, and Canada's share was 0.5% or Can$287.2 million.

Spain is a net exporter of agri-food and seafood products with trade surplus of Can$27.2 billion in 2020. Spain's agri-food and seafood imports increased at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.5% from 2016 to 2020.

Top supplying countries to Spain were predominantly European Union (EU) countries The largest supplying non-EU countries were Brazil, Morocco, United States, and China. The top five imports to Spain from 2016 to 2020 were molluscs, corn, palm oil, tobacco products, soybeans, and fresh fish.

In 2020, Canada had an agri-food and seafood trade deficit of Can$334.4 million with Spain. Spain's agri-food and seafood imports from Canada have increased by a CAGR of 0.7% from 2016 to 2020. Top imports from Canada were corn, crustaceans, and soybeans.

Spain is a net exporter of agri-food and seafood products. In 2020, Spain's agri-food and seafood trade surplus was Can$27.2 billion with imports valued at Can$54.8 billion, and Can$82.0 billion in exports. Spain's agri-food and seafood imports increased at a CAGR of 2.5% from 2016 to 2020. In 2020, Canada had an agri-food and seafood trade deficit of Can$334.4 million with Spain.

Spain's top agri-food and seafood imports in 2020 were molluscs, corn, palm oil, tobacco products, and soybeans. Top supplying countries were predominantly EU countries, led by France, Germany, Netherlands, and Portugal. The largest supplying non-EU countries were Brazil, Morocco, U.S., and China. Imports from Canada increased between 2016 and 2020 by a CAGR of 0.7% to rank 39th overall and 27th out of non-EU suppliers in terms of market share.

In 2020, Canada ranked 8th for corn, 8th for crustaceans, and 3rd for soybean import supply into Spain among global trade partners, supplying Spain with Can$126.6 million worth of these three commodities. Wheat, food preparations, and crustaceans were the fastest growing imports from Canada between 2016 and 2020. In 2020, Canada's import supply gap to Spain was Can$54.5 billion, which grew by a CAGR of 2.5% between 2016 and 2020.
