AgriScience Program – Projects: 4. How to apply

4. How to apply

There are 2 stages to submit a full application.

On this page

Stage 1. Complete and submit the project summary form

Complete the project summary form to help program staff determine if your project is eligible and aligns with the program's criteria and priorities. This stage will also begin a discussion between you and an AAFC program officer about your project.

In the project summary form, you must:

  • explain the overall intent and objectives of your project
  • describe the project including the issues, gaps, and/or opportunities that will be addressed, the research approach, and the scientific methodology
    • at this stage, the use of plain language to describe the science is sufficient, however there should be enough detail for program staff to understand the novelty, impact and value of the research
  • answer whether you've identified the sources of funding for your share of the project costs
  • answer whether you have financial statements for the last 2 years (Audited or Review Engagement)

You must also provide a high-level budget in a separate document.
