Step 4. How to apply

Complete and submit the program application.

1. Access your program information
2. Choose a secure sign-in method (Sign-In Partner or GCKey)
3. Sign in
4. Choose Kosher and Halal Investment Program from the list of programs
5. Complete the application online
6. Download the following forms to your computer
   • Required: Detailed Project Budget
   • Required: Kosher and/or halal forecasting template
7. Complete and save the forms on your computer
8. Upload the completed forms and the following required documents:
   • Required: Organization's Certificate or Articles of Incorporation
   • Required: Financial Statements
     • Audited, accountant-reviewed, or notice-to-reader financial statements for the past 2 years or since the date of business start-up where the business is less than 2 years old
     • The latest interim (audited or unaudited) financial statements
     • If applicable: The most recent annual report or audited financial statements of the parent company or principal owner
   • Required : A copy of your federal CFIA license to conduct meat slaughter
   • Required: The kosher and/or halal certification for your project's slaughter facility (if issued to date), or documentation demonstrating the existing facility's readiness to conduct kosher and/or halal slaughter
   • Required (if applicable): Any permits required for completing this project
   • Required: A copy of the proposed project engineering plans and/or implementation plans (with certification such as P.Eng)
   • Required (if applicable): Capital Asset Pre-approval
   • Required (if applicable): Travel Pre-approval
9. Complete all of the application details
10. Submit your completed application
