  • 9 = Province
  • E = Type
  • 91 = Product category group code
  • OT = Product grade
  • 0000128 = Quantity

Date

The date is in the format YYYYMMDD. This date is always the first day of the month. The storage stocks included in this record are the stocks which were in storage as at the opening of the first day of business of the month.

Province

For the Atlantic provinces, all data is aggregated under the Atlantic, code (3), with the exception of Product Category Group Code 70 = Total for chicken and turkey, which are separated by Newfoundland and Labrador, code (0), Nova Scotia, code (2), and New Brunswick, code (3); and eggs, which are aggregated under code (0) for Canada.

  • 3 = Atlantic
  • 4 = Quebec
  • 5 = Ontario
  • 6 = Manitoba
  • 7 = Saskatchewan
  • 8 = Alberta
  • 9 = British Columbia

Exceptions for code 70 = total

  • 0 = Newfoundland and Labrador
  • 2 = Nova Scotia
  • 3 = New Brunswick

Exception for eggs

  • 0 = Canada

Type

  • C = chicken
  • T = turkey
  • F = mature chicken (fowl, spent hen)
  • D = duck
  • G = geese
  • E = eggs
  • U = unclassified

Product category group code

  • 31 = chicken, cut-up legs
  • 32 = chicken, cut-up boneless breasts
  • 33 = chicken, cut-up Breasts Other
  • 34 = chicken, cut-up wings
  • 35 = chicken, cut-up other
  • 36 = chicken, cut-up breasts (prior to August 2010)
  • 41 = chicken, further processed boneless breasts
  • 42 = chicken, further processed other
  • 73 = chicken, under 2 kg
  • 74 = chicken, 2 kg and over
  • 81 = chicken, cut-up
  • 82 = chicken, further processed
  • 83 = chicken, miscellaneous
  • 75 = turkey, 5 kg and under
  • 76 = turkey, over 5 kg but not more than 7 kg
  • 77 = turkey, over 7 kg but not more than 9 kg
  • 78 = turkey, over 9 kg but not more than 11 kg
  • 79 = turkey, over 11 kg
  • 81 = turkey, cut-up
  • 82 = turkey, further processed
  • 83 = turkey, miscellaneous
