You can now authorize a representative to access your AgriStability online services in My AAFC Account even if you are not a My AAFC Account user.
What My AAFC Account is
My AAFC Account is a secure online portal that gives you access to your AgriStability information. When you sign up for My AAFC Account, you can see all your program information, communicate with the Administration, change your contact information, and designate an authorized representative (granting them limited access to your information).
What My AAFC Account representative access is
My AAFC Account representative access lets participants authorize access to their My AAFC Account AgriStability online services.
There are 2 ways to authorize a representative to access your account information in My AAFC Account:
- authorize a representative when you are a My AAFC Account user
- authorize a representative when you are not a My AAFC Account user
Either process ensures your representative can view only the information you have authorized them to access.
How to grant representative access when you are a My AAFC Account user
In the My AAFC Account portal, from the Dashboard:
- go to the User access tab
- click the “Invite new user” button to invite a representative to join one or more of your accounts
- complete the required fields
- send invitation
Your representative will receive an email with an invitation access code. To accept the invitation, the representative will then either create their own My AAFC Account or sign in using an existing account. When prompted, they will enter the invitation access code.
How to grant representative access when you are not a My AAFC Account user
You can authorize access to your My AAFC Account information to a representative even if you are not a My AAFC Account user.
Your representative must sign up for My AAFC Account to view your program information online. To authorize access to your information to a representative, you must sign and submit a completed My AAFC Account Representative Authorization Form.
The form is also available in the My AAFC Account portal.
In the portal, your representative can download the My AAFC Account Representative Authorization Form. They can complete the form on your behalf but you must sign it.
Your representative can use the “Messages” feature in the portal to send us your completed and signed form.
They can also send the form by mail or fax to the Administration.
Once the Administration receives your completed and signed form, they will review it and then phone you to confirm if you would like to give or deny access to your program information online.
How to grant a representative access for both AgriStability and AgriInvest
If you farm in Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Northwest Territories or the Yukon and you participate in AgriStability, you can authorize the same representative for both AgriStability and AgriInvest on the My AAFC Account Representative Authorization Form.
If you want to authorize a different representative for each program, complete and submit separate My AAFC Account Representative Authorization Forms.
