If you want to make changes to your submitted application, or you wish to withdraw an application, do not submit a new application form. Instead, please contact the program at aafc.wssp-pasv.aac@agr.gc.ca.
1. We'll send you an acknowledgement notice
After you submit your application, an acknowledgement notice will be sent to you.
Please note that the submission of an application creates no obligation on the part of the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) or of AAFC officials to provide funding. The Minister retains discretion to determine, based on other public policy and public interest considerations, whether an applicant will ultimately receive funding.
2. We'll verify your application
We'll verify that your application is complete and there is sufficient detail in the application to begin a full assessment. If your application is incomplete, we'll contact you for the required information.
Missing or incorrect information could result in a processing delay or your application being deemed incomplete and/or ineligible. Service standards for assessments only begin once the application is deemed to be complete.
3. We'll send you a confirmation notice and program identification number (PIN)
To confirm that your application was successfully submitted to the program, we'll send you a confirmation notice and your unique PIN (for example, WSSP-2024-12345678) within 15 business days of receiving your complete application.
You should not consider your application as submitted to the program until you receive a confirmation notice and your PIN. If you have not received your PIN within 15 business days of submitting your complete application, contact the program by email at aafc.wssp-pasv.aac@agr.gc.ca or call 1-877-246-4682. It's your responsibility to confirm your application has been submitted to the program.
4. We'll assess your application
Your application will be assessed only after the intake period has closed. Please note that we may request additional information from your organization during the assessment process.
5. We'll send you an approval or ineligible notice
Once the assessment process is complete, we'll send you an approval or ineligible notice. If you're approved for funding, your approval notice will include a grant agreement for your signature.
Individual grant payments will only be calculated once the application intake period is closed, all applications have been assessed, and the total litres of eligible wine submitted through those applications has been determined.
Service standards
Our goal is to:
- respond to general program inquiries made to our phone number or email address before the end of the next business day
- acknowledge receipt of your application within one (1) business day
- send you a confirmation notice and PIN within 15 business days of the submission of your complete application
- assess your application and send you an approval or ineligible notice within 100 business days of receiving a complete application package from the last day of the application intake period, or from the date your application is deemed complete, whichever is later
- send a payment, if you're successful, within 30 business days of receiving all required completed documents
